Spyros Gialidis

Spyros was born in Thessaloniki. He attended the "A" levels course at Loughborough College in England and then following his examinations was accepted at Cardiff Dental School, in Great Britain, where he graduated in 1999.

He completed his military service as a military dentist in Greek special forces in Retina and at 424 Military Hospital of Thessaloniki. After attending and completing his post-graduate course in Operative Dentistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he remained in the same department as a clinical assistant. He then attended a postgraduate program in Oral Surgery and Implantology in Athens and Florence.

He has presented papers on a variety of areas in dental conferences and has published articles in Greek and international journals. He is also a co-writer in books on dental implants and growth factors.

The paper entitled: A case study of seven dental implants placed in the maxillary sinus with intentional Schneiderian membrane perforation, on the use of growth factors and stem cells in dental implantology became the cover of the US magazine "The Journal of Implant and Advanced Clinical Dentistry".

The paper entitled "Comparative study of fluoride release from aesthetic restorative materials in neutral and acidic conditions" made in collaboration with dentists Joulie Koutsouri and Gerasimos Douvitsas, presented at the 18th Greek National Dental Congress, was awarded the prize Marianna Papadakou .

He runs a private dental clinic in Thessaloniki and one in Kozani. He is married to the dentist Evi Itziou and has two children.



Evi Itziou

Evi was born in Kozani. In 1999 she participated on the national university entrance exams where she was successful and was accepted at the Dental School of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki from where she graduated in 2004. She was awarded a grant from the National Agency for being an excellent student and was given an award for being the first distinguished among all graduates. On graduation she was awarded by the Alumni Association of AUTH (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), as well as the Aristotle dental school for her distinguished performance.

She attended a postgraduate program in Germany specializing in the use of Lasers in dentistry. She then attended a postgraduate program in Oral Surgery and Implantology in Athens and Florence.

She has written various articles and presentations on the occlusion of teeth.

She runs a private dental clinic in Thessaloniki and one in Kozani. She is married to the dentist Spyros Gialidis and has two children.
